Redbull Challenge
Alumni updates don’t always have to be serious! Malaysian Global UGRAD alumni Hong Khai Loh (2013 – 2014, University of Wyoming) and Shi Hao Wong (2014 – 2015, University of Mississippi) recently campaigned to take part in the Redbull Challenge. The Redbull Challenge consists of 50 teams from 165 countries being given a challenge of traveling across Europe using only Redbull as a currency. The teams are each only given 24 cans of Redbull and have to be creative in order to use these cans to acquire food, travel and lodging.
The voting window was open for 10 days and by the end, their team had climbed to 5th place in the rankings. Even though they didn’t make it into the challenge, Shi Hao Wong and Hong Khai Loh enjoyed creating their promotional video and campaigning for votes.
Shi Hao Wong had this to say about his experience: “We really hope we make it for the challenge and have every moment recorded and shared with everyone. Despite the loss, Hong Khai and I had much fun.”
